APRIL IS:
CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS/PREVENTION MONTH
April will launch Child Abuse Awareness/Prevention Month. In Galveston County there are more than 300 children that are in the custody of Child Protective Services due to abuse and neglect, and each of these children need the voice of a Court Appointed Special Advocate to ensure that they are safe, cared for, and are able to thrive while they are separated from their families. Each pinwheel on display is representative of a child in foster care.
The Display will be located at the Galveston County Courthouse at 722 21st. Street, Galveston, TX
CASA of Galveston County serves less than 25% of the children that need a voice. You can help bridge the gap by sponsoring a pinwheel for $10 each. You can place a customized message on your sponsored pinwheel.
