Join DFPS on February 4, 2025, from 10-11:30am for Part 1 of their webinar series, The Higher Education Foster Care Liaison 101. In this webinar, Education Reach for Texans will provide in-depth information on the current structure and function of the Texas foster care system, as well as it’s impacts to former foster youth. This helpful webinar includes topics such as how child comes into the foster care system, types of foster care placements, what happens when a child exits foster care and DFPS benefits.

In Part 2, Education Reach for Texans will explore the roles and responsibilities of the Texas Higher Education Foster Care Liaison and provide helpful tips on how to identify, recruit, engage and retain students with experience in foster care. Included in the webinar will be information on building campus support programs and building campus and community networks to help support student success.
