This interactive\, 2-hour workshop will provide participants with an introduction to TBRI\, Correcting\, Empowering\, and Connecting approach as developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross.  \n\n\n\nSession 3: Empowering Principle \n\n\n\nAvailable Session Dates: \n\n\n\n\nFriday\, March 13th\, 9am – 11am CST\n\n\n\nMonday\, March 30th\, 3pm – 5pm CST\n\n\n\nFriday\, May 1st\, 9am – 11am CST\n\n\n\n\nSession 3 Objectives: \n\n\n\n\nIdentify techniques in each of the three principles to use with their children.\n\n\n\nExplore their family history and self-awareness as they relate to their parenting style.\n\n\n\nIdentify changes to a child’s environment that may help reduce stress.\n\n\n\nEnhance understanding of how to interpret behavior and respond appropriately.\n\n\n\nRecognize the difference between “safety” and “felt safety” and the importance of the distinction.\n\n\n\n\nPresenter: Nicole Washington\, MA or Jenna Williams\, M.ED \n\n\n\nThis training will be held virtually.

SUMMARY:CFE 101 Virtual Training
DESCRIPTION:CFE 101 is a virtual training for those implementing Collaborative Family Engagement (CFE). This three-hour session covers the fundamentals of CFE and includes hands-on practice with core tools and skills. CASA\, CPS\, and Community-Based Care staff are all encouraged to attend. \n\n\n\nRegister Here: \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/S590AonbTRiZeBAt0d0yJw#/registration \n\n\n\nThe training will be offered twice during the year\, on October 16\, 2025\, and May 14\, 2026. Both sessions take place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Central Time. Each session includes the same content\, and you are welcome to attend either one. \n\n\n\nBefore attending\, please complete the two-hour CFE E-Learning. CASA and SSCC staff and volunteers can access the course at https://texascasa.org/program-portal/resources/collaborative-family-engagement/.
