Understanding Developmental Trauma

Join the Child Welfare Education Collaboration for their caregiver training on developmental trauma. This interactive workshop will help caregivers understand the impact of trauma and explore strategies to promote a trauma-informed care in their home. Caregiver trainings provide knowledge, support, and guidance to caregivers who are caring for children in foster care. Caregivers include foster parents, adoptive parents, and kinship caregivers. We hope to see you there!

Objectives:

• Develop a basic understanding of brain development.
• Recognize the impact trauma has on children and families.
• Explore strategies that promote trauma informed care in the home
