Volunteer Spotlight: Michael

Meet Michael, one of our newest volunteers. Find out why he became a CASA volunteer.

Hello! My name is Michael Hobley, and I’ve been a CASA since February of 2019 and am excited to be a part of this program. I was first introduced to CASA when my husband and I were fostering our now-adopted son back in 2014 in Harris county.  Our CASA was extremely supportive in our very emotional and tumultuous case and inspired me to follow suit once the dust settled from our adoption.  In my “normal life,” I am a web developer who specializes in the technical side of email marketing.  I also own a candle making business (nimblcandles.com) and make my own candles, wax melts, and room sprays. I’m also a baker (breads, cakes, cupcakes, etc) in whatever other spare time I find.  Hobbies include video games (Final Fantasy and RPGS), theatre, and playing the piano.  I also enjoy being a dad and living the life with my husband and our 6-year old son, Kingston, and love watching him grow and learn.  I’m proud to be a part of the CASA family and helping our kids have the chance to live their best life.
