Human Trafficking: Common Thread

Event Details

Join us for a great presentation by Common Threads Community Advocate Ashlee Ziegenbein:

BCFS Health and Human Services Common Thread is a program that provides relational advocacy for survivors of sex-trafficking in 58 counties in the state of Texas and is sponsored by the Governor’s Office. I personally represent Common Thread in Harris County and its 13 surrounding counties. Common Thread serves children and young adults who have been commercially sexually exploited, or who show strong indicators that maybe they have been. If you work with or know anyone 21 or younger who has participated in any sexual activity (like sex, stripping, nude photos) in exchange for something (like shelter, money, food, drugs), he or she is eligible to receive services offered by our program. You can also refer cases to Common Thread who might meet this criteria, but who haven’t yet made an outcry.
