The Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on the Individual, Family, & Community

This webinar will take an in-depth look at the significant impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on individuals and the link between child sexual abuse, familial trafficking, and health issues as result of ACEs. This webinar will also present the importance of understanding trauma and toxic stress and will provide information on learning how to best communicate with the survivor and their family. Finally, Dr. Williams will discuss the need for trauma-informed sensitivity throughout the entire community. After this webinar, the listener will have learned about the scientific research regarding ACEs and will be familiar with a toolbox of best practice, creative communication tools that can guide interactions with those that have been traumatized.
